Since moving to Brooklyn I have been loving the barre classes at Xtend Barre Brooklyn and The Bar Method Brooklyn. As a runner, I am in desperate need of cross training and workouts that help build a strong core and allow me to get a deep stretch.
To pair with my new barre method love, I have been wearing pieces from the newly launched ballet athletic line Belle Force. Belle Force was super savvy and started the brand via a Kickstarter campaign. After exceeding their goal, they finished production this spring and the collection is now live. With a simple color palette of blush and black the collection is filled with ballet inspired details.
The leggings I’m obsessed with and wearing in this post have a stretch french netting detail that mimics ballet shoe ties. The same gorgeous stretch netting trim is used to finish the edges of the bra worn under this plunging neckline top. I’m loving the bra so much that I also have it in blush and have been wearing it outside of my workouts as a base with strappy tanks during the summer.
Now, about this top! I love the wide shoulder and long length. The best part though is it’s reversible. It has a high crew neck on one side and a plunging deep v neckline on the other side. I personally love wearing it both ways.
To me, great design is all in the details. It’s the little things that bring such joy to something you are going to pour so much sweat into.
As for fit, I purchased a medium in the tank and the bra but a small in the legging. I find my rib cage is a bit wider and usually need a medium or size 8 in sports bras but a small or 6 in most leggings.
So Accessories Gal readers, what workouts are you currently obsessed with and what are you wearing to get them done? I would love to hear from you about what workouts are making you break a sweat and what you’re sweating in.
Join me tomorrow at Xtend Tribeca for a Belle Force barre class! 8:30am at 80 Warren Street. Excited to sweat it out in a little Belle Force!
