Accessory Of The Week: Edie Parker Clutch

QRS_4845

I love customization and this clutch nails it!  My accessory pick of the week is the Edie Parker personalized Flavia clutch.  It’s the perfect finishing touch to just about any outfit.  Hands down one of the most commented on and photographed items I wore this fashion week.  I purchased it for my wedding day (many posts to come on that), and have turned it into a must have in my wardrobe!  Edie Parker makes lost of different clutches in all shapes and sizes.  I personally love the Flavia clutch though for its versatility and ability to actually carry items in my clutch instead of stuffing them in the jacket pockets of my husbands blazer (you all know what I’m talking about).  The best part about it though, is the full length mirror on the inside!  GENIUS!!  If you’re not as much of a bespoke girl, then check out my top 3 favorite ready to purchase clutches from the collection: Flavia Pineapple Clutch, Flavia Silver Confetti Clutch, Flavia Glittered Chevron Clutch.

A MOI NYFW SS 16

A MOI is a women’s luxury ready-to-wear and accessories collection founded and designed by Alejandra Alonso.  Founded last year, A MOI balances artistry and function by creating collections that embody femininity and experimentation.  Alex is known for her expertise in hand knitting.  She employs both traditional and experimental knitting techniques to create truly unique pieces.

Last year I was completely blown away by A MOI‘s SS15 collection inspired by throwback vintage silhouettes paired with tennis rackets.  This season I was equally in love.  Alex’s use of unique knitting techniques made for some lust worthy pieces.  Skirts, jackets and trenches were covered in beautiful little yearn tufts that were reminiscent of the Lilly pads decorating the floor.  The mix of textures was perfection and gave the collection a youthful, fun aesthetic.

The chic and simple color palette of neutrals with pops of pastel pink and blue was a wonderful accompaniment to the range of easy silhouettes.  Bomber jackets, A-Line skirts, boxy waist level tops, flowing wide leg pants, oversized lapel overcoats were a plenty.  This collection is meant to be worn, loved and cherished for years to come.  These tried and true silhouettes find heritage inspiration, yet are seasonally on trend.

Noon By Noor NYFW

Noon By Noor NYFW

Noon By Noor embodied the minimalist silhouette this season.  Chic clean lines incorporated into soft floral prints and painstaking hand sewn embellishments.  Noon by Noor was inpsired by spring and the celebration of new beginnings, renewal and youth.   Fresh blooms, lush greenery and flourishing landscapes translated into bold floral and botanical prints.

Highlights from the show included the blush sheer panel embellished dress with floral appliqué, mesh bombers (one with the amazing floral embellishment and one with an easy drop shoulder), black tuxedo cape and super chic silver embellished flatforms. Trend note for this season, the flatform is a major accessory for spring/summer 15.  And as a total accessory junkie that loves high heels, this is the perfect foot friendly shoe.

I loved the play with volume, movement and structure in both silhouette and fabrication. The collection is just so effortlessly chic and perfect for transforming your spring wardrobe.

Won’t You Stay For Dinner?

Driving through the amazing french countryside we came upon field after field of these amazing yellow flowers. Being the crazy duo we are, Trevor and I immediately hopped out of the car to climb through the dirt to get to one of the beautiful field. My white jeans were covered in dirt, but it was worth it, we took some amazing photos!

Welcome to chateau #2, Chatillon-En-Bazois. A beautiful, majestic chateau that sits a top a quaint town. We arrived early in the evening to find our wonderful hosts and residence of this beautiful chateau had planned a dinner party in our honor. They had invited all of their closest friends to come and meet “The Americans”. As we speak very little French, and they speak little English they were kind enough to hire us a translator. We experienced one of the most magnificent dinners we had while on our trip. Course after course of light, yet insanely flavorful food, we were left speechless. We met incredibly interesting, fabulous new friends, including one who owns a cookie factory just down the road from the Chateau. He insisted the next day that we come visit him and see his work. Of course he completely stuffed our carry ons with cookies 🙂

The Chateau was absolutely beautiful. Filled with 17th century art, hidden bookcase doors, and some of the most beautiful interiors we saw in any chateau on our trip. Alas this is not the place we are choosing! So stay tuned for more fabulous French chateaus!
