I was recently talking with a kindred spirit about our sometimes avant-garde purchases when it comes to accessories. For me, when it comes down to spending serious money on something I will own for years, I tend to choose the bold, stand out version of something versus the classic, blends into the crowd version. A perfect example would be that I don’t usually choose the nude patent leather Louboutins. Instead, I go for the black suede version with bright yellow fur on the heel. This is a personal preference, and don’t get me wrong, we all need staples, but if I’m spending money, I want it to be on something AMAZING!
When I first saw the #MyPURSEonality collection by Kara Ross, it spoke to me (and may have said something along the lines of, “Yes, you need a purse with Mike Tyson’s face in exotic leather“). The bags are playful, fun, impeccably made and eye catching. Eye catching seems to be a theme in my wardrobe.

For Spring/Summer 2016 Kara Ross has collaborated with designer Dennis Basso to create a very special collection of purses. Using the #MyPURSEonality bags as a canvas, vibrant colors, patterns and textures were added to perfectly pair with the S/S 16 Havana nights inspired collection by Basso. The whimsical little number seen here is one of my favorites! The full collection will be available this spring at the Dennis Basso flagship.
